  INDIVIDUAL THERAPY SESSIONS

Description: Individual sessions are 50 minutes in length. The first session is an intake in which the client and counselor will have time to get to know one another, talk about the course of therapy, learn about each other's histories and backgrounds, and discuss any goals the client may have for therapy. The intake is 75 minutes in length. Subsequent sessions include the use of yoga therapy, mindfulness, acceptance, commitment therapy, and supportive counseling as a means to help clients explore who they are and how to grow into who they want to become. Our counselors' primary theoretical orientations are client-centered, which means they will follow the client and compassionately be with whatever shows up in the moment.
Format: Sessions occur via Google Meet--a HIPAA protected video conferencing platform.
Hours: Remote Sessions are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 - 9:30pm PST, as well as some Saturday/Sunday mornings.
Investment: The initial intake session is $150.
Subsequent sessions are $108.

  CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE OFFERINGS

Tat Tvam Asi; What Your Sessions Say About You: Using Transference and Countertransference for Growth

Description: This multifaceted 30 hour course will offer the practitioner of yoga therapy an opportunity to explore themselves through the lens of their sessions, embodying Tat Tvam Asi or Thou Art That. Using assignments, group work, and individual mentoring calls intended to invoke deep personal reflection, the practitioner will learn how to identify and use transference and countertransference as markers to explore how they show up as a practitioner for their clients. Our decisions to offer specific treatments or to meet our clients in particular ways are often the result of how our energy mixes with theirs (transference and countertransference). Cultivating awareness to this can enhance the practitioners ability to offer treatments from a deeper space of wisdom, not just from their knowledge. The course runs for 15 weeks and includes a weekly talk, group work, monthly assignments, and a weekly mentoring call based on the topics and themes of that month. As this course functions on what your clients bring up for you, and not on a specific lineage technique, all lineages are invited to participate in this course.
Dates: January 25 - May 9, 2020 and August 15 - November 28, 2020.
Group sessions occur on Saturday mornings from 8:30 - 9:30am PST.
Individual sessions will be scheduled at the time of registration.
Investment: $700 paid in full one month prior to session start date,
$800 paid the month of the program start date,
or three payments of $300 to equal $900 by program end date.
Format:
• Participants commit to 2 hours per week.

• Distance learning utilizing Google Meet--a HIPAA protected video conferencing platform.

• A Google account is not required to use Google Meet.
